Butter Pecan Sauce

1 can 300 ml Eagle Brand® Regular or Low Fat Sweetened Condensed Milk

1/2 cup 125 ml unsalted butter

1/4 cup 50 ml brown sugar

1/4 cup 50 ml corn syrup

2 cups 500 ml pecan halves

1 tsp 5 ml vanilla extract

Vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt


  1 In a double boiler over medium-high heat, cook sweetened condensed milk, butter and brown sugar together, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. Add pecans and cook for another 5 -10 minutes, or until sauce is medium brown in colour. Stir in vanilla.

  2 Serve with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
